Who it suits: a stiff neck after hours at the desk.
The two seat and neck massagers closest to it on our rating, each with a dated price.
What it has going for it
Shiatsu kneading. Shiatsu-style kneading rather than plain vibration.
Air compression. Air cells squeeze and release instead of rolling.
Heat. Built-in heat adds warmth while it works.
In the desk chair, it switches off after 15 minutes, so a short break stays short. The heat helps on a stiff afternoon at the desk.
It runs from an outlet, so plan where it will sit.
It switches itself off after 15 minutes, handy if you doze off halfway through.
The cover comes off and goes in the wash.
The seller states, word for word, in the COMFIER Shiatsu Neck and Back Massager listing:
Select upper, lower or full-back massage, or use Spot mode to hold the rollers on one area.
Move the neck massage nodes up or down from the wired controller to align with your neck and shoulders.
Use this shiatsu back massager for full-back rolling or targeted upper-back and lower-back massage.
Compression and vibration are different from shiatsu kneading.

Our take
What we'd buy the COMFIER Shiatsu Neck and Back Massager for is shiatsu kneading, with air compression as a bonus. No buyer reviews yet, so this COMFIER neck massager has to win you over on paper. The catch with the COMFIER: no word on the settings or the warranty. We'd pick it if you like a kneading massage more than vibration; otherwise, put it next to the HealthRelife 4D Oversize Massage Chair first.
We rate it 5.5/10 (fair). The rating comes from its documented listing alone, as no customer-review record is captured yet.
Its listing states shiatsu kneading, air compression, built-in heat, a vibration mode, a 15-minute auto-off and a washable cover. These are the seller's figures, not our measurements: how the massage feels can't be read from a listing.
Fit: check the size and shape against the body area you want to treat. Power: plan where it will sit: it needs an outlet nearby. Settings: start at the gentlest setting and build up until it feels right. Auto-off: it switches off after 15 minutes.
